The weather eased for a day to allow the Morrison Mustangs to open the 2023 baseball season on March 15, 2023 at Amboy High School. The Clippers were held to only two hits as Meinsma and Brenden Martin struck out fifteen in route to a 5-2 victory.
The pitching duo of Aydan Meinsma and Brenden Martin held the Clippers to two runs while striking out fifteen batters in the seven inning contest. The Mustangs scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn the win. The Mustang offense was headed by Jason Hall’s two RBIs on a single and double.
