Mustangs Run in Panther Invitational Meet

The annual Panther Invitational Cross Country meet was held at the Erie[, IL,] Country Club, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  The event drew a large number of runners to compete from 13 schools.

Challand topped the Middle School runners, with Ian Hilty completing the one mile course in 5:23.03.  Challand’s Delia Block headed the Middle School girls, with a time of 5:43.55.

Varsity Girls were next on the course, and the three mile trail was topped by Orion’s Olivia Thomsen, with a time of 19:07.43.  Erie-Prophetstown had four runners in the top 20 and won the team competition against a field of 62 runners.

The Varsity Boys’ three mile run capped the day.  Riverdale’s Tommy Murray crossed the finish line with a time of 15:26.75, to lead the Rams to a first place finish over 103 runners.

The Morrison Mustangs’ Brady Wolf, below right, finished 14th, with Aiden Dolieslager ending in 70th place; Mark Cyfers finishing in 80th; Isiah McDearmon closing in 83rd position.
