Following the Tuesday, February 2, 2016, upset of 9th ranked Newman, the Morrison Mustangs took the floor Friday, February 5. The Boy’s Basketball team picked up the offense where they left off on Tuesday, en route to a 66-44 stampede over the Bureau Valley Storm.
The outcome was almost solidified in the opening quarter. The Mustangs jumped out to a 12-point lead with Noah Hogue contributing six of his game-high 22 in the period. Morrison domination did not relax. They ended the half with a convincing 23-point lead. Hogue totaled 12 points, and Junior Nick Klimson added 11 points.
With the outcome secure, the second half saw four Seniors end their home court presence and prepare for the upcoming Regional action. Seniors on the 2015-2016 team are Hogue, Joey Brackemyer, Mason Muur, and Ryan VanZuiden.
The Mustangs finish the season with away games at Fulton, IL, on Friday, February 12, and Erie, IL, on Tuesday, February 16. The men begin Regional play on the week of Monday, February 22.
