Morrison’s home Baseball opener had to be delayed, as wet conditions forced the location of the game, against the Bureau Valley Storm, to be moved to Bureau Valley High School in Manlius, IL. Senior Danny Mouw started on the mound, but only survived one inning, as the Storm collected five runs on three hits, to establish a lead that was never edged.
The Mustangs rallied with seven runs over the next five innings but fell to the Storm in a weather-shortened six-inning game, 11-7.
The Mustang offense was led by Danny Mouw’s two hits. Collin Renkes’s double was among the Mustangs’ eight total hits on the day.
