On Monday, April 26, 2021, Morrison put five innings in the books with a two-run deficit.
Freshman pitcher Brenden Martin and Junior catcher Mason Dykstra managed the game well, over the course of the first five innings.
Martin gave up three hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.
With a few Mustang errors in the top of the second inning, the Fulton Steamers were able to put up three runs. Dykstra scored on a passed ball to give Morrison their first run of the game.
After six innings, the score was still 3-1 Fulton. Unfortunately the 7th was a rough one for the Mustangs, allowing eight Fulton batters to cross the plate. The Mustangs were able to plate two more runs in the bottom of the 7th, before Fulton recorded the final out of the game.
Final Score: Morrison Mustangs 3, Fulton Steamers 11.
