On Monday, April 24, 2023, the host Morrison Mustangs closed the cage on the visiting Erie-Prophetstown Panthers. Junior Brenden Martin pitched a no-hitter for 5 2/3 innings. Freshman Koltin Swain closed out the 11-1 victory. Martin struck out ten while walking seven to earn the win.
The Morrison offense was led by five different Mustangs recording two hits and six different players driving in runs, This pushed the Mustang total to 11 and ended the game an inning early due, to the ten-run rule.
