Motorcycle Crash Leaves Man Deceased

On Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2:42 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a one-vehicle traffic crash involving a motorcycle, in the area of 24163 Moline Road, in rural Sterling, IL. Upon investigation and after speaking with witnesses, a single motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Moline Road, when the motorcycle drifted off the road, and [drove] into the ditch. The driver, 45-year-old Jeremy Hall, of Sterling, was thrown from the motorcycle. At the scene all life-saving measures were administered. Hall was transported to CGHMedical Center where he passed away from his injuries.

Deputies were assisted by Sterling Fire Department, CGH Ambulance, Illinois State Police, and Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald. The crash remains under investigation with an autopsy pending.
