Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison IL, held their annual Mother’s Day Tea on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
“There were approximately 150 attendees; it is a very popular event,” stated Karla Burn, Marketing Director. Left-to-right, Bev Betts, Dietary Manager Tawnya Denning, and Alexandria Bullard prepared cupcakes. Denning and other kitchen staff made beautiful, decadent desserts for the event.
“Because we set up and tear done in one day, it is all hands on deck,” Burn said. “We are very thankful for our hard-working staff and volunteers, without whom we could not have a successful event!”
Resthave employee Kris Muur headed up the decorating, with her sister Kim Straight and many volunteers. Straight, below, set a variety of pretty tables.
Hats were available for the ladies to wear for their Mother’s Day Portraits , which featured a beautiful backdrop.
To kick off the event, a poem was read by Activity Director Dawn Stuart, and a song was sung by Employee Bullard.
Tea was served, and beautiful China dishes were in abundance.
Resident Virginia Donna, seated, was joined, left-to-right, by Cynthia Ries, Lisa Stutzke, and Delia Frank.
“It is a wonderful time for the ladies to get together to visit, catch up, and reminisce. It is one of Resthave staff’s favorite events,” Burn stated. Deon Stoecker, left, and Adri Rombouts kissed resident Luella Buis.
