On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2016, Jean Eggemeyer and her family visited Morrison-Rockwood State Park. In the afternoon they “took a stroll on the trail that leads around [Lake Carlton].” Katie, one of two Eggemeyer daughters, “noticed it” said her mother.
“It” is this snake, curled up with its own offspring.
“It was over the water. I could definitely distinguish one other, smaller one,” stated Eggemeyer.
The photograph was taken “from 15 feet away.”
