Morrison Winter Park Preparations Began

Work began on the Morrison Winter Park’s ice rink area on Friday, November 25 , 2022. A group of volunteers met at 8:00 a.m.; work continued until about 1:00 p.m. Clean up of the area and much-needed repairs to the fence were completed. Trent Bush also removed a large bush from the sledding hill. The ice rink will be located at Water Works Park and will be available for use this winter.

Those wishing to donate to the Winter Park should make a check payable to: “Friends of the Parks (MWP),” and mail it in care of Trent Bush, 501 S. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL 61270.

Volunteers included Karla Burn and a Baker’s Dozen of males: Ken Burn and grandson Merrik Burn (age 3); Trevan Burn; Lyle Bush; Trent Bush; Dustin Damhoff; Dale Eizenga; Brian Melton; Scott Pruis; Joe Robbins; Brad Yaklich and son Jaxon Yaklich; Mark Zinnen.
