November is a busy month at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, with activities and upcoming events. Several of these are new, and others are repeat events.
Members of the community are invited to participate, but please contact the church first at 815-772-4030, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 21, 2019, all are welcome to a Fall Small Shop Adventure. Faith MacLennan, Activities Coordinator, has organized a fun schedule to visit small shops and unique boutiques, to help out with everyone’s Christmas shopping. There will be a car pool “caravan” for all those interested, to destinations in Morrison, and Fulton, IL, and Clinton, and LeClaire, IA. The group will be eating lunch and possibly dinner during the shopping trip. Bring your walking shoes!
The Men of the Church are invited to a breakfast fellowship with Pastor Noah on Saturday, November 23, beginning at 8:00 a.m., in the church Heritage Hall. RSVP by calling 312-301-3800 or emailing revnrp1358@morrumc.org. Come and join the fellowship, and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
The American Red Cross Blood Drive is planned for Thursday, November 21, from noon-to-6:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall. Morrison United Methodist Church hosts this event. The community is asked to give generously to help save lives.
Morrison United Methodist Church will host a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, November 27, in the sanctuary beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Bethesda Lutheran Church family will be special guests. The combined choirs will sing. Special music will be clarinetist Reanna Panlilio. The community is invited to come worship in praise and thanksgiving.
