The Morrison Schools Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2015-16 1st Quarter mini-grants, of up to $250, and its first Super Grant. The MSF Classroom Mini-Grant program funds teacher requests for special teaching or curriculum tools, to help enhance student achievement in the classroom. Classroom supplements bought with mini-grant monies are tied to Common Core Curriculum goals. Super Grants, of up to $1000, are considered for extraordinary projects or initiatives.
The initial Super Grant of $1000 was awarded to Karen Mayberry, First Grade teacher at Northside Elementary School. Monies will be used to secure books and teacher and student materials, to achieve Next Generation Science Standards. Pictured left-to-right are MSF Vice-President Tiffany Tipton, Mrs. Mayberry, and MSF President Jackie Damhoff.
The following teachers are recipients of a mini-grant:
High School: Tim Duncan and Heather Stoudt
Northside: Krista Baker, Dana Bennett, Melissa Christensen, Wendy Connelly, and Carisa Swanson
Southside: Amber Cox, Carla Cruse, Mary Pons, Katie Sedig, Heather Waninger, and Nicol Wescott.
Congratulations to these teachers!
Mini-grants will be offered by the Foundation biannually.
