In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17, 2015, several food and beverages choices will be offered in Morrison, IL, from east-to-west and north-to-south.  Choose corned beef and cabbage meals, reuben sandwiches, desserts, and beverages with a nod to the Irish.

Below are 16 options, several of which are available currently or more often than March 17. Call to place carry-out orders.

The Church of St. Anne will host a community St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Tuesday, March 17, in the City of Morrison Community Room of the Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street. Included are corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, rolls, coffee or tea, and dessert. The optional Children’s Menu is a hot dog, chips, punch, and cake. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 7 and above.  There is no charge for youngsters age 6 and under. Serving time is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with take-out dinners available.

Morrison Community Hospital Cafeteria, 303 N. Jackson Street, 815-772-4003: corned beef, carrots, and cabbage meal with baby red potatoes; Watergate salad; sourdough bread/butter; thumbprint cookies. Chicken Kiev may be substituted for the corned beef. Serving times are 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
