On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Past-President Dave Abele generously presented a $2000 check to Carolyn Spencer, Hospice House Project Manager of the Hospice of the Rock River Valley. The money was raised by Rotarians in projects such as the Harvest Hammer.
Spencer indicated that the grant check was matched by Rotary Clubs in Sterling, and Rock Falls, IL.
The total funds were used to purchase six beds for the new Hospice House. These beds will provide comfort for patients in their end-of-life stage.
Spencer thanked the Rotary Clubs for their generous donations.
