The Morrison Police continue to investigate an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 615 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. The incident involved criminal damage to property, in that, an explosive device caused damage to the residence.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations Unit, and the United States Postal Inspection Services (USPIS) are assisting the Morrison Police with this investigation.

Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to an arrest. Callers can remain anonymous.
The U. S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) who placed explosive devices and destroyed Residential Mail Boxes in the City of Morrison, IL, and surrounding area.
Destruction of Letter Boxes or Mail is a Federal criminal offense under United States Code, Title 18, Section 1705, and is punishable by imprisonment up to three years, fines up to $250,000, or both.
Take no action to apprehend this person yourself.
