Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, August 16, 2019.
Arrests: On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Keith A. Zaagman, age 37 of Morrison, for a moving violation. The traffic stop occurred on E. Lincolnway near Sawyer Road. As a result of the traffic stop, Morrison Police arrested and charged Zaagman with Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Zaagman was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, was processed, and then released.
On Monday, August 19, 2019, Morrison Police arrested Anthony W. Perez-Rodriguez, age 19 of Morrison, IL, charging Perez-Rodriguez with Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Battery. This arrest is the result of an investigation into a public fighting incident, that occurred on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Water Works Park in Morrison. Perez-Rodriguez was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
