Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, April 5, 2019.
Arrests: On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a Domestic Dispute involving a Hit and Run Accident in the area of W. Winfield Street and Andy Brands Drive. As a result of the investigation, Andrea M. Wagner, age 36 of Morrison, IL, was issued a citation for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Jeremy S. Wagner, age 39 of Morrison, was issued a citation for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Reckless Driving. Both subjects were released on Notices to Appear.
On Friday, April 19, 2019, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Morrison Police attempted to stop a vehicle at N. Genesee Street and W. Main Street in Morrison for expired registration. The vehicle failed to stop and attempted to flee/elude Morrison Police. Morrison Police continued to follow the vehicle westbound on W. Main Street and then northbound on N. Orange Street. The driver abandoned the vehicle at 14580 Norrish Road and fled on foot. Morrison Police then apprehended the driver in the area of N.Orange Street and Prospect Street. Evan J. Mahoney, age 25 of Morrison, IL, was arrested and charged with No Valid Registration, Driving While License Revoked, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (Class 4 Felony. Morrison Police transported Mahoney to the Whiteside County Jail.
