Morrison Recreational Director Nathan Jacobs recently announced the offering of new activities for Morrison, IL, area youth.
YOUTH ARMY BOOT CAMP
Attention, all ages of boys and girls, “UNCLE SAM WANTS YOU!” at this free event. Wear green, and paint your face camouflage-style (black, green and/or brown.) Register for one hour of grueling, boot camp exercises to get you into shape!

2023 T-BALL REGISTRATION NOW
This instructional T-Ball League teaches the basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding, and throwing, in a non-competitive game environment. Youths ages four-through-six are eligible; the cost is $30 per player. Register online at www.quickscores.com/morrisonsports until Wednesday, May 31.
The season Opening Night Kick-off event will be Monday, June 19, at the Morrison Sports Complex. Teams and Coaches are introduced; athletes run the bases; kids receive shirts and caps; Coaches get their equipment; food is available for purchase.
Game dates are Mondays, June 10, 17, and 24; and Thursdays, June 13, 20, and 27. Practices begin the week of June 19 and will typically be held 1-2 times per week, until games begin. Practice schedules will be set by Coaches. Games start at either 5:00 p.m. or 6:30.
Volunteer Coaches are always needed. If you are interested, please indicate so on the registration form. No experience is needed!

MORRISON OUTDOOR PARK ADVENTURE
Come join us EXPLORE…The Outdoors. This is for kids currently in 1st-through-5th grade. Parents are welcome to stay. All sessions begin at 10:00 a.m.; the fee is $5.00 per child.
We have four sessions (2 hours each) of outdoor activities. They will be taught by the University of Illinois Extension and their volunteers.

3. Thursday, July 20, French Creek Park: Prairie Grass
4. Thursday, July 27, Kelly Park: Trees.
