The Morrison Kiwanis Service Scholarship is awarded to Morrison High School Key Clubbers who have best exemplified the Key Club International core values of character building, leadership, inclusiveness, and caring within the school and community.
Each applicant must be a Morrison High School Key Clubber who:
- has been an active member for at least three years with a documented record of consistent service points earned for each year the student has been a member of Key Club
- plans to attend a junior college, college, university, or accredited trade school
- is a graduating Senior in good standing
- has maintained a grade point average of at least a 3.0.
Before scholarship funds are released, the recipient must successfully complete the first grading term of his/her post-secondary education and show a continued commitment to community service.
The recipients of the 2013 Morrison Kiwanis Service Scholarship were announced at the Morrison High School Honor’s Night held in May 2013. Madeline Kull and Olivia Nielsen were those recipients. Each was awarded $500 at the Morrison Kiwanis meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
Both Olivia and Madeline successfully completed the first grading period at Sauk Valley Community College, Dixon, IL. Olivia is on track to earn her Associate’s Degree in Education and plans a career in Special Education. Madeline plans to transfer her SVCC credits to a four-year college, majoring in Biology/Zoology.

Morrison Kiwanis is an international service organization focusing its efforts on the community of Morrison, IL. We meet at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday at the Odell Public Library, 307 S.
