On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, The Honor Guard of American Legion Post 328 will honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of Country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Beginning at 10:50 a.m., on Thursday, November 11, 2021, this short, public ceremony will be at Veterans Park and Memorial, in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL, across from Northside School.
Also on Thursday, November 11, Windsor Manor Assisted Living Community, 403 Scenic Street, will provide hot chocolate, coffee, and light snacks prior to–and after–the Veterans Park and Memorial tribute for veterans.
Morrison High School cordially Invites Military veterans and community members to the first Veterans Day Recognition Assembly, on Friday, November 12. At 11:45 a.m., refreshments and a light lunch will be served to all veterans, in the cafeteria. Beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium, an assembly will honor all veterans; American Legion Post Commander Larry Zuidema will address the audience. All COVID-19 rules apply, and masks are required.
