Congretional Art Competition

Every year, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional district.

The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in the 17th District. The artwork of the over-all winner of our district’s competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The winner of the competition will also receive two airline tickets to Washington, D.C.               The artwork of runners up will be displayed in Congresswoman Bustos’ 4 offices.

Three Morrison artists have entered their artwork and need your vote:

The girl tape art of Amy Winehouse is created by Abigail Kull and called Rehab.  The man is named Eric Church by Whitney Dobbins and called Eric Church. The Marilyn Monroe is a graphic by Emily Kuehl called Marilyn.
