Spring has sprung finally, and we are all anxious to get in our gardens and yards to start gardening! So far, Mother Nature has been a bit kinder to us this year. That means, as of right now, Morrison Garden Club plans to hold our annual plant sale. It will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. until noon, in the City of Morrison Community Room at Odell Public Library. The location is 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL. The 2017 sale is pictured below.
As you look over your gardens, please keep our plant sale in mind, and consider what you could donate. Morrison Garden Club relies heavily on plant donations for a successful sale. We will accept plant donations prior to the event.
Do you have some perennials that are too crowded and need to be split? Do you have a plant that you just don’t want anymore? Please consider donating it to the Garden Club sale.
If you need pots, we have many to share. Potted plants can be dropped off the week prior to the May 4 sale. Contact Sharon Moore at 630-835-8373 or email sharonkmoore@mchsi.com for the drop off location.
Plants may also be dropped off on Friday, May 3, at Odell Public Library, from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
We appreciate donations of saleable decorative pots, trellises, garden décor, garden tools, etc., that you do not want any more. This adds to our sale.
Morrison Garden Club members organize and sponsor this yearly event. All proceeds will go towards current and future Morrison beautification and garden art projects.
