Morrison Garden Club has been beautifying the community since 1948, owning a goal of stimulating the knowledge of gardening and encouraging civic pride.
The garden club meets on the first Thursday of each month. Contact Sharon Moore at 630-835-8373 for information or to attend a meeting.
Members have beautified Morrison, IL, through tree planting programs; youth garden clubs; nursing home and hospital funding; garden walks; floral shows. Utilizing recent donations by the Margie Haynes Memorial, the club sponsored a tree planting (13) in the new Bark Park and established a Residential Tree Planting program.
Recent projects initiated by the Morrison Garden Club include Odell Public Library landscaping, Veterans Park plantings, and IL Route 78/U. S. Highway 30 corner beautification.
On Thursday, July 6, 2023, Morrison Garden Club revisited the gardens of last year’s award recipient, Don Reed (13012 Locust Street), and held its meeting, following a tour of gardens created by member Nancy Stevens, at 16099 Henry Road.
