Morrison Firefighters will host their annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The event is held at the Morrison Fire Department at 206 W. Main Street, in Morrison, IL. They will serve pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice, milk, and coffee. Everyone is encouraged and welcomed to attend the event; the cost of the meal is a donation to Morrison Fire Department.
All donations will help MFD provide and maintain proper equipment and tools, to perform services they provide to the local community. In the past couple of years, monies received from these events paid for 30 helmets and 30 pairs of boots, purchased in 2022. The Department purchased grain bin rescue equipment, as well as air packs and compressed air bottles. Grain bin rescue equipment will help aid MFD with any emergencies where someone is trapped in a grain bin. Air packs and compressed air bottles allow members to perform their duties for extended periods of time, while needing the use of compressed air.
Items will be displayed to show past purchases made with fundraiser monies.
