It’s time for the Opening Day of the Morrison Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Market Committee is happy to open the market for the season and bring you lots of wonderful products–from both new and returning vendors. The Farmers’ Market is behind Whiteside County Court Services, 204 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
Bring a friend and/or your dog and take a stroll among the richness of locally-produced items.
In celebration of Opening Day, visitors will receive a free market bag courtesy of Farmers National Bank, 1100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison. Whiteside County Master Gardeners will share their knowledge about growing and preparing kale.
You will find a great selection of bedding plants, perennials, annuals, hanging flower baskets, herb plants, asparagus, rhubarb, lettuce, spinach, radishes, baked goods–including pies and cinnamon rolls, meats, Thai cuisine, honey, dog treats, soaps, and one-of-a-kind gifts made by our local artisans.
Make this the summer you experience “The Best Little Farmers’ Market in Northwest Illinois!” The market is open every Saturday, from May 21, through September 24, rain or shine.
The market also needs volunteers to help set up and/or tear down the market for a short time on Saturdays.
