In the fall of 2015, United Way of Whiteside County began its annual campaign.  Kim Ewoldsen is a Board Member.  She delivered an information packet to Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, to encourage their sustaining campaign pledge.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016, the two entities met in the hospital lobby at 9:00 a.m., to present and receive the donation.  Shown left-to-right are MCH Marketing Director Mick Welding; MCH CEO Pam Pfister; United Way Administration Assistant Pam Martinez; EwoldsenRuss Siefken, Executive Director of United Way of Whiteside County, attended, too.

Martinez stated, “We have met our goal.  In March we announced that donations exceeded $742,000.  Twenty different, local agencies in Whiteside County are supported [through donations].”  Especially important is that United Way donations “support agencies who are losing State funding.”  She added, Morrison has several partner agencies who receive funds.

Next month, said Martinez, “We start the ‘Let’s Feed Our Children’ [summer free lunch] program.  Lunches will be available five days a week from Tuesday, May 31, through Thursday, August 11.”
