The Morrison Junior High Swim Team had a successful 2019 season. Morrison swimmers started their season strong with a win over East Moline Middle School (Morrison 191, East Moline 114.) They swam Rock Island Junior High next and outscored them by five points (Morrison 155, Rock Island 150.) MJHS finished their season with a win over Moline (Morrison 197, Moline 153.)
Morrison Colts broke seven school records during their season!
- The relay team of Landri Harmon, Emery Brewer, Schyon Drolema, and BayLeigh Brewer swam a 2:06.73, setting a new 200 Medley Relay record.
- In the 100 Individual Medley, Schyon Drolema swam a 1:06.46 to break Rachel Fedyk’s record of 1:07.00 set in 2001.
- Skylar Drolema swam a 24.06 in the 50 Freestyle which broke Mitch Story’s record of 24.31, set in 2005.
- Schyon Drolema broke her own 50 Butterfly record from last year by swimming a 29.24.
- Skylar Drolema broke his last year’s 50 Butterfly record by swimming a 26.72.
- Landri Harmon swam a 15.11 in the 25 Backstroke, which broke her sister Gracen’s record from 2015.
- Skylar Drolema broke his own 50 Breaststroke record from last year by swimming a 29.53.
