Morrison Institute of Technology has hired Larry Libberton of Mt. Carroll, IL, as its Director of Admissions, effective Monday, August 1, 2016.
Libberton served as Director of Communications at Ashford University, Clinton, IA, from July 2002 until the campus closed in May 2016. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL, and took Master’s level courses at Rockford University.
“We are pleased that Larry has joined Morrison Tech’s staff,” said Christopher Scott, President. “He will bring new perspectives and ideas to our Admissions Department.”
In his new role, Libberton will be responsible for all aspects of the college’s admissions and recruitment process, and developing and enhancing the digital presence of the college through the web, social media sites and print media.
Libberton has been a member of the Board of Directors of Timber Lake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll since 1992 and served as TLP’s President for six years. He is also a member of the Carroll County Haiti Mission Project.
He and his wife Judy live in Mt. Carroll; they have two children and three grandchildren.
