For the third year straight, Crossroads Community Church sponsored the Missionz For Kidz Backpack program. The idea behind this outreach is to equip every student in grades PreK-12th grade with a backpack, filled with the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
Crossroads Community Church is a non-profit organization located in Morrison, IL.
Every Friday Walgreen’s employees are able to wear blue jeans to work, if they pay $1. That money–along with all monies/gift cards collected at the registers–was put towards school supplies.
Wilson ordered all the supplies in bulk. She had the items ready for the people from Crossroads to pick up.
Crossroads Community Church would like to thank the staff and Walgreen Drug Store for their assistance with this outreach. The time and money saved by purchasing the school supplies through them was astounding! They plan to utilize the Clinton store again next year.
