The Editor drove along Crosby Road, leading to the entrance to Morrison-Rockwood State Park, on Monday, May 24, 2021, a week prior to Memorial Day. Arrayed along a stone wall were eight, colorful flags, both patriotic and military service branches. They fluttered in the breeze, attracting deserved recognition. Hence this photograph.
The banners span from 1775 to 2021. Ken and Mindy Brainerd, 15511 Crosby Road, Morrison, IL, installed them on their hilltop property.
Use a magnifying lens to match the flags with these not-in-correct-order designations.
