Mike “Hammy” Hamilton, 37, of Fenton, IL, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL.
Mike was born May 22, 1977, in Morrison, to Larry and Tamara (Floming) Hamilton. He was a 1996 graduate from Morrison High School and attended MMI Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Daytona, FL, graduating in 1999. He then became a millwright journeyman in April of 2001. He was a member of Local #2158 in Bettendorf, IA, where he was employed as a millwright. Hammy was interested in mud trucks, motorcycles, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Who Else Club and also enjoyed being on the river and spending time with his daughters.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Tammy Hamilton of Morrison; two daughters, Jaylynn and Chloe Hamilton of Morrison; one sister, Teresa (Jeff) Bielema of Prophetstown, IL; one brother, Patrick Hamilton of Morrison; maternal grandfather, Don Floming, of Erie, IL; several nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arvid and Marjorie Hamilton, and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Floming.
FUNERAL SERVICE: There will be no funeral service; cremation rites will be accorded.
VISITATION: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Who Else Land, Nelson, IL, at a later date.
An education fund has been established for his daughters.
