Michael R. Hurley, 65, passed away on July 22, 2015, at his home in Mesquite, NV.
Michael (Mike) was born on October 31, 1949, in Clinton, IA, to Richard and Patricia Hurley. He was educated in the Morrison schools. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University and completed one year of his Masters Degree in Social Work at Indiana University. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Lynette Bujack on October 31, 1975. He was a avid Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Utah Jazz, and Green Bay Packers fan. Mike loved to play the slots. He loved his family and faithful companion ,his dog, Gunner.
Survivors include his wife, Lynette; five sisters, Linda(Guy) Plumley, Debbie(Roger) Tegeler, Kathy Vos, Veronica(Ray) Hughes, Dorothy Hurley; one brother, Patrick (Hannah) Hurley; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A Celebration of his Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Hilltop Lanes, 629 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established by his family.
