Michael Fred King, 63 of Sterling, IL, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at his home.
Michael was born on April 23, 1957, in Rockford, IL, the son of Fred and Barbara (Ulrich) King. He was a United States Navy veteran. Mike worked as a Machinist for American Marsh Pumps in Lakeland, FL, for many years. He enjoyed fishing and football and was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.
Survivors include his spouse of 24 years, Patricia Andrews of Sterling; his mother, Barbara Henson of Denver, CO; his step-children, Paul Freeman of Morrison, IL, Brandi (Frank) Echebarria of Rock Falls, IL, Sheavon Andrews of Rock Falls, and Shawn Andrews of Sterling; eight grandchildren, Chase Lewis, Brently Lewis, Jaelyn Andrews, Lina Andrews, Brandon Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Hailey Freeman, and Frankie Echebarria; sisters, Teri of Denver, Linda of OK, and Karen of Freeport, IL; brothers, Jeff and Bruce of TX and Mark of IL; his best friend, Brad (Gabby) Sharer of IN.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation rites have been accorded with the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Sterling, IL.
