Morrison High School Scholastic Bowl Coach Adam Smith stated, “Today, [Saturday, January 14, 2017,] the MHS Scholastic Bowl team took 3rd place of 20 teams at the Winnebago Invite.”
Morrison earned wins over Hinckley-Big Rock, Oregon B, and Stillman Valley, but lost to Kaneland in morning Pool Play, to advance to the Championships rounds.
In the afternoon, Morrison beat Marengo and Dwight, but lost to Newman, to advance to the third place matchup against Blue Ridge.
In the final round, Morrison beat Blue Ridge 350-120 to earn the 3rd place trophy. Kayla Saville was named to the All-Tournament team.
