Summer has come to an end, and our children, teens, and college kids are back in school. Come join us at Morrison United Methodist Church, on Sunday, September 12, 2021, for our 9:00 a.m. service. We have lots of things happening on that special day.
To start our morning with fellowship, we will serve coffee, juice, and Casey’s donuts, from 8:15 to 8:55 in Heritage Hall.
Secondly, Sunday, September 12, is called “Rally Day.” It denotes a time for all members of the church to rally behind our children and youth, as they learn more about Jesus and the Bible. Sunday School Teacher Kellie Kohl will register children for the upcoming year. Each child that registers will receive an ice cream bar.
We also will remember the people and happenings of 9/11, September 11, 2001. This is the 20th anniversary of that day, when the world looked on in shock and horror. As we take time on this day to look in back, let us think both about all we lost and what we have learned.
Lastly, our Missions Committee is preparing a Spaghetti Dinner that may be picked up after church and taken home. They will be serving from 11:00 to noon. All donations are greatly appreciated. These monies will be used in mission work.
Everyone is invited to join us on this “happenin'” Sunday.
