Editor’s note: Chief of Police Brian Melton was asked why Morrison, IL, was not a member of the Illinois State Police Blackhawk Area Task Force. He replied that, to become a member, a Police Department must have an assigned, undercover, Drug Enforcement Officer. MPD does not.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
