2024 Memorial Day Ceremonies will be held in Morrison, IL, on Monday, May 27. Parade line up will begin at The American Legion Hall, 306 E. Main Street, at 10:00 a.m. The traditional parade will start at 10:30; travel west on Main Street to Genesee Street; turn north onto Genesee Street; proceed to Grove Hill Cemetery on High Street.
The Memorial Service will be at the Veterans Memorial and Pavilion starting at approximately 11:00, with time allowed for everyone to travel from the parade route.
This year’s speaker is Master Sergeant Lon Rice, United States Air Force Retired, a Morrison native. The Invocation and Benediction will be given by Dr. Reverend Sun-ah Kang, Pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church.
A Rain Day location for the 2024 ceremony will be at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway.
