Melody Ann Boyer, 67, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, of Morrison.
Melody was born May 15, 1956, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Leo and Henrietta (Schultz) Manon. Melody loved any kind of shopping. From thrifting to garage sales, anything to spend money on, shopping was her hobby. She collected everything and loved giraffes.
Survivors include her husband Bret; daughters, Tasha (Clay Stringer) O’Brien of Rock Falls, IL, Tanya Gaffey of Rock Falls, Toni (Jason Willett) Bender of Rock Falls, IL, and Melinda (John) Shambaugh of Morrison; son, Calvin Tompkins of Morrison; sister, Patricia (Jack) Buckingham of Florida; brother, Dave (Alice) Manon of Tampico, IL; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters in infancy, Mary Jo, Margaret, and Jodi; two brothers, Lee and Greg Manon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Route 30 Slots, Rock Falls, IL. All are welcome to join in celebrating Melody’s life with us.
A memorial has been established.
