Mr. Mahaffey has extensive experience as a litigator representing clients in a broad array of legal matters throughout northern and central Illinois. Over the years he has successfully represented and helped clients with cases resulting from motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, trucking accidents, injuries from dogs/animals and various other civil and criminal litigation matters. In addition to the above areas, he has a broad legal background and currently represents clients for work injuries, estate planning and trusts, business, probate and real esate.
After serving his country as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, Mr. Mahaffey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Illinois State University in 1994 and his law degree from University of Louisville School of Law in 1998. He has formal mediation and arbitration training and has participated in numerous arbitations and mediations throughout the years. He is on the approved list of mediators for the 14th Judicial Circuit of Illinois, which includes the counties of Rock Island, Whiteside and Henry, among others. but has also acted as an arbitrator on numerous cases involving various types of legal matters throughout northern Illinois.
Kenneth Mahaffey is married with five children and resides in Morrison, Illinois. As a child, he lived in the city of Chicago near Wriglely Field until his parents relocated to Erie, Illinois, which is in Whiteside County, where he attended Junior High and High School. Upon graduating high school, he entered the United States Air Force and was a member of the Air Force Band of Flight in the concert band. While in the band, he was able to perform for and meet Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, Chuck Yeager and other dignitaries; he also enjoyed performing at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
Throughout the years, Mr. Mahaffey has been active in the community and now serves on the Morrison City Council. He is or is a past member of the following: Illinois State Bar Association (since 1998); Illinois State Bar Association Assembly Member (2016-2018); Whiteside County Bar Association; Will County Bar Association; Morrison Illinois Chamber of Commerce; Morrison Illinois American Legion; and, Streator, Illlinois American Legion. Mr. Mahaffey and his family are members of the Morrison United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lee maintains an active practice representing clients in real estate, employment, probate, business litigation and contract negotiation matters in state and federal court. He was admitted to the bar in 2009 and returned to his hometown of Sterling in 2011.
Mr. Lee’s passion for the law was cemented in IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Institute for Law and the Workplace. With renowned faculty, including presidential appointee Martin Malin, and his clerkship with the highly accomplished downtown Chicago firm Asher, Gittler, Greenfield & D’Alba. He still vigorously represents employees that are the victims of discrimination, retaliation, underpaid wages, and whistleblower actions and he is a member of the National Employment Lawyer’s Association (NELA).
Since returning home, Mr. Lee has developed and grown a robust real estate, corporate and transactional practice built on a thorough knowledge of the law and keeping his client’s bottom line as the top priority. Mr. Lee also regularly handles complex and contested estate, trust and probate matters in Whiteside and surrounding counties.
Giving back to the Sauk Valley is also important to Mr. Lee. He has been appointed by Democratic and Republican governors to be the Public Guardian and Public Administrator in Whiteside County since 2012. Mr. Lee will take his seat on the Whiteside County Board in January 2019 representing Sterling, Jordan and Genesee Townships located in Eastern Whiteside County.
In addition to his public service, Mr. Lee also serves on the board of Open Sesame Child Care Centers. Open Sesame runs the largest daycare operation in the area with 3 facilities in Dixon, IL and Sterling, IL. Mr. Lee and his family are members of Grace Episcopal Church.
