Meet Chief Deputy Jeffrey R. VenHuizen

Posted by

Sheriff John Booker reported, “I am very excited to announce as the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office continues to move forward, that Jeffrey R. VenHuizen is my Chief Deputy.  VenHuizen is an experienced Law Enforcement Officer with 28 years of service, who served with the Rock Island Police Department.  During the last eight years  he served as Chief for the City of Rock Island Police Department.

“VenHuizen was raised in rural Erie, IL, so he is no stranger to Whiteside County.  He has a Bachelors Degree from Western Illinois University; graduated from the FBI National Academy class #242; is former President of Quad Cities Chief of Police; received from the City of Rock Island, IL, the Citizen of the Year award in 2019.

“To say I am excited to have Jeffrey VenHuizen join the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office is an understatement!  As Sheriff, I will continue to serve the citizens of Whiteside County.  With Chief Deputy VenHuizen as Second in Charge, we will continue to move the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office forward with new programs for the County.

“Feel free to contact Chief Deputy Jeffrey R. VenHuizen, left, at jvenhuizen@whiteside.org.”
