“I love being a barber! I get to talk to people all day. It is soothing [sitting in the barber chair]; people talk about their problems,” stated Bobby Teague (rhymes with league.) In early December 2014, he became the new barber at Extreme Image Salon/annabella’s, 207 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL. “I’m a good listener,” he added.
It is not surprising that he has people skills. Before he became a licensed barber three years ago, Teague worked as a social worker with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Latchkey and 4-H programs. He also has been a youth camp counselor.
Additionally, he has raised six children: Nathan Britt (deceased); RaeAnn Britt, 22; Taylor Teague, 20; Peyton Teague, 15; Bain Britt, 17; Patricia Teague, 9. Bobby and Amy (Kuehl) Teague live in Rock Falls, IL. She was raised in Morrison and works at Wahl Clipper Corporation. Amy felt it would be “a good move” for Bobby to work in Morrison, he said. First Avenue Barber Shop in Rock Falls was his previous location.
