The Sunday, January 8, 2017, meeting of the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society will feature historian and actress Leslie Goddard. She brings a program about Amelia Earhart, the pioneering woman aviator, who flew across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932 and who attempted to fly around the world at the Equator in 1937.
Goddard has a PhD from Northwestern University and has been presenting programs about famous women in history for ten years.
This presentation will begin at 2:00 p.m., at the CGH Ryberg Auditorium, 100 E. LeFevre Road, Sterling, IL It is open to everyone without charge.
