The Morrison High School Class of 1989 will hold its 25 year Class Reunion the weekend of Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, 2014, to incorporate families into the reunion.
“No mailed invitations are being sent, so we are relying on Facebook, thecity1.com, the Whiteside News Sentinel, and word-of-mouth to spread the word. Lastly, we are inviting the classes three years ahead (1986, 1987, and 1988) and three years behind us (1990, 1991, and 1992) to join us. Details of the reunion are below,” stated Angie Workman VanderVinne.
Friday night, September 19
Football game in Morrison and social time afterwords at Prairie Ridge Golf Course, 903 W. Morris Street, Morrison, IL. It is Hall of Fame Inductee Night, so there will be various alumni and staff at Prairie Ridge that evening.
Saturday, September 20
Morning – Harvest Hammer. Sign up for various child and adult runs and the Duathlon is available online at http://www.harvesthammer.org/.
Afternoon – Paint the Town. You can request that your family’s painting squares be located in front of Farmers Insurance, 127 E. Main Street, Morrison, so that we are all close to each other. Online sign up is available at http://paintthetownmorrison.com/.
Evening – Dinner is on your own, so that we don’t have to coordinate reservations somewhere. Social time at Prairie Ridge begins at 6:00 p.m. For those who are interested, later that night, KJ’s will have the popular local band “30 West.” We can transition as desired to KJ’s. We didn’t want to start there, because we want to be able to talk.
