MCH Vaccinates the First 100 Community Patients

The Editor was one of the first 100 Morrison Community Hospital patients to be vaccinated against the novel corona virus.  Please note:  Watch for possible future distribution dates–not each Saturday, as originally reported.  Check the hospital website (www.morrisoncommunityhospital.com) of Facebook.com/morrisoncommunityhospital.

Stehanie1stVaccinationAs Whiteside County began providing COVID-19 vaccines in Phase 1b, Morrison Community Hospital initiated a first batch of vaccinations for its community patients age 65 or over.  On January 23, 2021, 100 vaccinations of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine were available, for those who had made an appointment.

More doses may become available for patients sometime in the future. 

If they do, and if you qualify, schedule an appointment by calling 815-772-5537.

For those individuals who received a vaccination, their second dose is scheduled for Saturday, February 20.

“To all our valued patients, we are nearing completion of vaccinating our staff at MCH….We [will] begin vaccinating our MCH patients, due to age or certain medical conditions.”
