Morrison Community Hospital patients have been contacted to be vaccinated against the novel corona virus. If you were not contacted, and if you qualify, please schedule an appointment by calling 815-772-5537.
To qualify, patients must be 65 or older or be at risk for severe complications, related to COVID-19, due to age or certain medical conditions. If you know elderly persons who are MCH patients, encourage them to call and sign up for a free vaccination.
In January 2021, Whiteside County began providing COVID-19 vaccines in Phase 1b. After health care workers and residential center residents had been vaccinated, Morrison Community Hospital initiated a first batch of vaccinations for their community patients age 65 or over. On January 23, 100 vaccinations of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine were injected, for those who had made an appointment.
Individuals who received a vaccination that day, are scheduled for their second dose on Saturday, February 20.
