Each year many families gather together to celebrate the holidays. Parents and grandparents have an opportunity to see children and grandchildren, who take time away from school and work to reconnect and reflect on memories from years ago. Some families share stories about loved ones who are no longer with us.
I know my siblings love to sit and talk about words that my mom would say, with such a Southern drawl that we would have to have her repeat them, until we could interpret them.
Each year I purchase an ornament from the Morrison Community Hospital Foundation. It hangs on a tree in the lobby to remember my mom and dad and also my wife’s mom and dad.
I also love to drive by the hospital and see the heart-shaped burning bush next to the hospital, illuminated with over 2000 lights. I am reminded that four of those lights are lit in honor of my family.
You can join me by purchasing a memory ornament for only $5. We will start selling ornaments on Monday, November 12, 2018. That ornament is yours to keep after Monday, December 31.

You can leave a check made out to the “Morrison Hospital Foundation,” or place cash with your form and leave it for Mick Welding.
