On September 11, 2019, Morrison Community Hospital, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, broke ground for a two-year, $20,500,000 expansion. The MCH Foundation’s expansion included five new Emergency bays, a new, state-of-the-art Operating Room, eight new Medical/Surgical rooms, an Ambulance Canopy, new Helipad, expanded Laboratory, new Rehabilitation Department, new Conference/Board Room, and a remodeled Radiology area.
In the past four years we have added 14 new Specialties [services] and 16 new Specialty Doctors. Each of those Doctors require Nurses and Support Staff, so the total number of employees at MCH is now 217.
We are looking forward to celebrating our achievements with an Open House on Sunday, October 24, 2021, from noon to 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to a Ribbon Cutting at 12:45, followed by tours throughout the afternoon.
We will have live music, delectable meals with desserts, and tours of the facility. Over 1000 people are expected to attend, including State Representative Tony McCombie and Senator Neal Anderson.
