State Representative Tony McCombie officially launched her re-election bid, for 71st House District. McCombie, currently serving her second term, announced at events with supporters in Rock Island and Whiteside Counties. The 71st District consists of portions of Carroll, Whiteside, Henry, and Rock Island Counties.
While many issues face the State, McCombie prioritizes education, job growth, public safety, and strong constituent service as her top priorities.
“The State of Illinois’s political environment is challenging, but serving as your State Representative is very rewarding. Working with leaders regionally and across the State has been instrumental in achieving successes for our district. Together we encourage political and structural reforms, that will promote our growth and turn Illinois around, said McCombie.
“I will continue advocating for you, honestly and fairly, but with a strong conviction that our region deserves. We live in the best place in the Sate….I have not given up hope that Illinois will do better and will be better. I will be a part of solutions necessary to grow and strengthen our State on behalf of our hardworking families and our next generation.”
McCombie owns a real estate appraisal company, Blue Appraisals LLC, and works as a realtor with Mel Foster Co. She previously served as Mayor of Savanna, IL, and on the Savanna City Council. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University. Tony and Curt, her husband of almost 13 years, reside in Savanna and are blessed with several nieces and nephews.
