May 7 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 5/5/18 at 12:15 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a suspicious vehicle stop in the parking lot of 1112 1st Avenue, Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, the driver, Serena S. L. Hall, age 20 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License and Driving Under the Influence-Zero Tolerance.  The passengers, Tiffany A. Cobb, age 26 of Sterling and Joshua H. McCloud, age 25 of Rock Falls  were both arrested for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol-Passenger.  Hall was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where she was issued a Notice to Appear.  Rock Falls Police Department and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 5-04-18 at about 11:30 p.m., Whiteside County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on U. S. Route 30 just west of Morrison, IL.  During the investigation of the stop, the driver of the vehicle Joseph E. Broughton, 27 of Clinton, IA, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.  Broughton was transported to the Sheriff’s Office, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assisting on scene was Morrison Police and Hunter’s Towing out of Morrison.   

On 5-02-18 at 12:25 a.m., Donald E. Richards, age 48 of Rock Falls, IL, was cited for an Open Burn Violation, following a fire that was burning on his property in rural Rock Falls.
