Arrests: On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a trespassing complaint at Dollar General, 633 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. As a result of the investigation into this complaint, Morrison Police arrested Kenneth W. Farthing, age 58 of Morrison, charging him with Criminal Trespass to Real Property (Class B Misdemeanor.) Farthing was released on a Notice to Appear.
On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 1:26 a.m., Morrison Police responded to a single-motor-vehicle crash in the 500 block of Ash Avenue, Morrison, IL. A vehicle driven by Riley A. Wilkens, age 19 of Morrison, struck a utility pole and came to rest in the yard at 507 Ash Avenue. As a result of the crash investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged Wilkens with Driving Too Fast for Conditions and Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol.) Wilkens was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and then released with a Notice to Appear.
On Thursday, May 13, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Tony J. Smith, Sr., age 62 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Carroll County, charging Smith with Contempt of Court/Failure to Appear-Driving While License Revoked. The warrant was issued in January 1996. Smith posted the required cash bond and was released.
